Eileen Simpson, Senior Consultant

 Eileen Simpson is a senior consultant for G2MQ with over 20 years of  experience in Bone Marrow Transplant Program (BMT), National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), Hematopoietic Progenitor Cell (HPC) collection and processing, cord blood banking, clinical research, data management, quality management, audits, validation, education and training, regulatory and accreditation inspections.  While working at City of Hope Samaritan BMT, Eileen was key to the planning, design, and opening of a class 100,000 cellular therapy laboratory. She led multidisciplinary teams through effective implementation of integrated quality management system resulting in successful regulatory and accreditation inspections.

Eileen served as examiner for the Baldrige-based Arizona State Quality Award (3 years) and as an accreditation inspector for the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (14+years). She authored articles, abstracts, and presentations both nationally and internationally related to the field of hematopoietic cellular therapy, transplantation and patient care; quality management, process improvement, FACT accreditation and performance excellence using the Malcolm Baldrige model in a bone marrow transplant unit.  

Eileen earned her Bachelor’s degree in medical technology (MT) at Arizona State University and a Master’s of Science in Quality Assurance at California State University Dominguez Hill.  She received her Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and MT board certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
