Catherine (Kitty) Tierney, Consultant

Catherine (Kitty) Tierney, is a consultant with over 30 years of hematology oncology experience including 13 years in Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Immune Effector Cellular (IEC) therapy program leadership.  Kitty’s expertise and vast knowledge of BMT and IEC research, program development, revenue cycle, and operational workflow design have been key drivers behind the establishments of BMT and IEC programs (inpatient and outpatient) at an academic and medical center.  She successfully led teams to achieve Joint Commission (JC) Specialty Certifications for BMT and Leukemia and zero deficiency initial inspections with the Foundation of Accreditation for Cellular Therapy (FACT®).  Kitty is an experienced Magnet document author and editor resulting in contributions to a successful Magnet® Recognition in 2020.

Kitty is a published author and speaker for professional meetings. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Cincinnati and maintains her specialty certification as a Bone Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse.
